Acceptable Use Policy & Terms of Service

⚠️ Zero Tolerance Policy: InstantShow has a strict zero-tolerance policy for illegal, explicit, abusive, or harmful content. Violators will be immediately banned, their data preserved for law enforcement, and reported to the appropriate authorities including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and local law enforcement.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using InstantShow ("the Service"), including uploading, viewing, or interacting with any content, you agree to be bound by this Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") and Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use the Service.

InstantShow is a photo and video sharing platform for private events such as birthdays, weddings, and celebrations. The Service allows event guests to upload media that is displayed on a shared slideshow. All content uploaded to the Service is subject to moderation by the event administrator and the global platform administrator.

2. Prohibited Content

You agree NOT to upload, share, transmit, or make available any content that:

2.1 Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM)

Any sexually explicit or exploitative content involving minors (anyone under 18 years of age) is strictly prohibited. This includes real, AI-generated, digitally altered, or computer-generated imagery. All confirmed or suspected CSAM will be immediately reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) via the CyberTipline and to law enforcement authorities. Content and associated account data will be preserved for a minimum of 90 days as required by federal law (18 U.S.C. § 2258A).

2.2 Sexually Explicit & Pornographic Content

Pornographic, sexually explicit, or overtly sexual content of any kind is prohibited. This includes nudity, sexual acts, intimate exposure, revenge pornography, non-consensual intimate imagery ("deepfake nudes"), and any content intended to sexualize, objectify, or exploit any individual.

2.3 Violence & Graphic Content

Content depicting graphic violence, gore, mutilation, torture, self-harm, suicide, or the glorification of violent acts is prohibited. This includes real or simulated depictions of extreme violence toward people or animals.

2.4 Animal Cruelty

Content depicting animal abuse, cruelty, torture, organized animal fighting, or any form of animal exploitation is strictly prohibited.

2.5 Hate Speech & Discrimination

Content that promotes hatred, violence, or discrimination against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, or any other protected characteristic is prohibited. This includes slurs, dehumanizing language, hateful symbols, and content that glorifies or supports hate groups.

2.6 Harassment & Bullying

Content intended to harass, bully, intimidate, threaten, stalk, or target another individual is prohibited. This includes doxxing (sharing someone's personal information without consent), sextortion, and cyberbullying.

2.7 Terrorism & Violent Extremism

Content that promotes, recruits for, glorifies, or provides material support to terrorist organizations or violent extremist ideologies is prohibited.

2.8 Illegal Activity

Content that promotes, facilitates, or depicts illegal activity, including but not limited to drug trafficking, weapons manufacturing, human trafficking, fraud, money laundering, or the sale of regulated substances is prohibited.

2.9 Non-Consensual Content

Content shared without the consent of the individuals depicted, including private or intimate media, is prohibited. Under the federal TAKE IT DOWN Act, non-consensual intimate imagery — including both real and digitally altered content — is subject to criminal penalties and mandatory platform removal.

2.10 Misinformation & Deception

Content that is deliberately misleading, fraudulent, or designed to deceive other users is prohibited. This includes impersonation of other individuals, fake identities, and manipulated media presented as authentic.

🚨 Federal Law Notice: Possession, production, or distribution of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) is a federal crime under 18 U.S.C. §§ 2251-2260A, punishable by imprisonment of 15 to 30 years for a first offense. Non-consensual sharing of intimate images is a federal crime under the TAKE IT DOWN Act. InstantShow will report all violations to NCMEC and law enforcement without exception.

This data is used solely to operate the Service, manage events, and enforce this policy. Phone numbers may be used for event-related communications. User data is retained after events end for potential future promotions and as required for legal compliance. InstantShow does not sell user data to third parties.

7. Intellectual Property

By uploading content to InstantShow, you represent that you own or have the necessary rights to share the content. You retain ownership of your content. By uploading, you grant InstantShow a limited, non-exclusive license to display your content within the event slideshow and administrative interfaces as necessary to operate the Service.

InstantShow is not responsible for copyright infringement by users. If you believe your copyrighted material has been uploaded without authorization, contact the event administrator or InstantShow global administrator.

8. Limitation of Liability

InstantShow provides the Service "as is" without warranties of any kind. InstantShow is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, unauthorized access, or content uploaded by other users. Each user is solely responsible for the content they upload. InstantShow shall not be held liable for user-generated content that violates this policy or applicable law.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless InstantShow, its owners, operators, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of this policy, or your infringement of any rights of another party.

10. Changes to This Policy

InstantShow reserves the right to update this Acceptable Use Policy at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. Users are encouraged to review this page periodically.
